The GZone's Review of Tecovas Boot Store at 1500 Congress in Austin, TX:

During my trip last week to Texas, I spent about a week in the state and had the chance to visit Austin, a nice city. While there, I was on the hunt for a pair of exotic skin boots, specifically Ostrich. I'd heard good reviews about their boots. So I stopped by the Tecovas store and picked up a pair of The Zane, the ostrich zip-up boots.

Although I was initially looking for alligator or crocodile boots, they don't make The Dean in Black\Onyx, but when they do, I'm definitely placing my order ASAP. However, the store was awesome with a great selection of all types of exotic skin boots. The staff were excellent, providing top-notch customer service, and the store itself was nice and convenient.

Once I put on the boots, they felt even better than my old Tony Llamas, which are elephant skin boots I've had for about 10 years. The whole experience at Tecovas was just awesome. If you're in Austin and looking for quality boots, I highly recommend stopping by Tecovas. You won't be disappointed!

I researched this place before coming to Texas and was so excited to find a pair of boots. The store is well stocked with a variety of styles and sizes of boots. The inhouse complimentry bar was perfect to keep the husband busy while I shopped. They also were able to ship my boots home to me which was perfect! I received them the following week in CT, very fast shipping. Im so happy with how my boots turned out and they are so comfortable. I will be purchasing again from here! And I also purchased a T-shirt.

We came in on a family vacation and we were blown away by our experience here. When you walk in, it smells of amazing leather and you are greeted with complimentary beer, bourbon, or tequila (all local brands). Alex helped us and he was fantastic. He was so helpful, kind, and knowledgeable. He did the personalized boot branding on three pairs of boots and was so patient with our crazy group lol this was a great Texas experience and would definitely recommend! The waiting/seating area is comfortable and clean for anyone who needs to wait while others shop. 10/10 would go here if you are in Austin!

Can’t go wrong here. Great location for a boot and clothes shopping experience. South Congress is a fun area to shop or window shop, which adds to the ambiance here. This location has clothes (I didn’t see clothes at the Domain location). The vibe is boutique. The clothes have detail. The stitching and fabrics are pretty awesome. My favorite pair of boots are from here. Pretty proud of the owner for his story and gumption selling boots from his car to get started. The American dream.
When I got my first pair of boots I asked around and looked into the different companies a little bit. Tecovas caught my eye with the patterns, height, and price point.

Every time I visit I have a 5 star experience the staff is so helpful and knowledgeable not only am I being helped but I feel like I am actually having a conversation with someone who cares, I recently purchased a belt to match my boots I bought last year and I was treated to an incredible boot shining and everything was perfect as I was preparing for my wedding and I felt 100% after leaving the store. Absolutely incredible service and extremely high quality products

This store was just awesome! The guy from Florida (dunno his name) was a great time and helped me find the perfect boots. Juliana really went the extra mile helping my mom who isn't fluent in english, making sure she got the right product while having a great time.
She even made some drinks and had a little chat with us, despite being very busy with a couple of other customers at the same time, which was awesome!
In fact, probably the best shopping experience I ever had in any store! Keep the vibe up and the good workers around!!

Visited Tecovas on a Sunday evening expecting a quieter shopping experience, but it was surprisingly packed. The atmosphere was lively, though it was a bit tricky to distinguish employees from other customers. We spent some time searching for assistance, and at first, the customer service felt underwhelming; we felt like an afterthought. But everything changed when we connected with the best brander in the store (I think her name was Kennedy). She turned our experience around, using her branding artistry to help design an amazing pair of boots. The store itself is gorgeous and perfectly located on South Congress. While our initial impression was rocky, this team member’s expertise and dedication saved the day.

She’s part of the team at this location is just absolutely fantastic. She’s helped with sizing, figuring out the right feel and deciding colors. So patient, knowledgeable and wonderful. Getting to spend time with her while the shop was busy was just a blessing.
