Sushi Wa is simply the best! It's the highest quality sushi I've ever had in London, and the freshness and taste are absolutely exceptional. The eel rolls and salmon rolls were incredibly delicious, and every single piece of sushi was top-notch. On top of that, the agedashi tofu, spinach, and seaweed salad were all so tasty as well. The restaurant itself is spotless, and the owner is incredibly kind, along with the staff who were also very friendly and welcoming. I’m definitely going to visit often from now on. You absolutely must try it—highly recommended!

Ordered on Deliveroo and the food is fresh and well-presented! I’d recommend the Philadelphia maki. The salmon don is fresh (though thinly sliced, see photo), and the Tteobokki + fish cake is soft and chewy (portion a bit small, guess it’s more of an appetizer/ snack).

Food at Sushi Wa and service was excellent. Staff were friendly, attentive and swift. The food was very fresh - tempura crispy. The sushi was good sized portions.

The only issue was it was empty except for another table so not a lot of atmosphere. Although it was the first rainy/cold night since summer on a Tuesday night so I expect that had a lot to do with it. Having said that, there were a lot of customers coming in for pickup orders.

I would definitely return.

I enjoyed a delightful dinner with assorted sushi, rolls, mochi ice cream for dessert, and cola. The ambiance was perfect, featuring a Japanese-style garden interior, soft background music, and an open kitchen where I could watch the cooking process unfold. It was a truly wonderful evening.

We had the sushi & udon set, chicken teriyaki bento, cheese cake and plum tea. The quality of food was high. Not an average Japanese restaurant but one that cares about the refined taste of Japanese food. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Baby needed to be changed and they offered me to do it in their staff room. Will highly recommend!

Such a shame to see this once brilliant place suffer from a lack of pride and quality. We were the only table left and still had a dirty table while staff ignored it. We heard desert being prepared in the microwave and was too dry to eat. The sushi itself was ok but we fear the teriyaki was also microwaved. The furniture upholstery was pealing as was the wood laminate on the walls. We used to love this place but feel like the owners have stopped loving it. A real shame. We hope they turn this around and look forward to that.

Seven Sisters in Highgate

Sushi Wa was a new experience for me. A friend suggested something different from the norm.

We came on Wed night which for the restaurant was quiet and lacked atmosphere but it meant our table got full attention.

Selection of sushi was good and in particular the Seven Sisters was impressive so much so that we ordered 2 plates. Lots of flavours and eye catching presentation.

Staff were attentive and it was worth the trip.
