Rainbow Shoe Repair on Delancey Street is an absolute gem on the Lower East Side! I recently brought in two pairs of sandals for repairs, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the results. The craftsmanship was impeccable—they truly brought my sandals back to life.

The shop owner was not only skilled but also wonderfully efficient and friendly, making the entire experience seamless and pleasant. It’s rare to find such a combination of quality work and excellent customer service.

If there were one business in NYC I would be devastated about if it closed, Rainbow Shoe Repair would be it. I’ve been going there for 15 years, and I wouldn’t take my shoes anywhere else. No matter how far beyond hope, Anthony works magic with the trickiest shoe repairs, at incredibly fair prices. Don’t be fooled by the humble storefront, this is high-end work.

If you’re looking for a place to complete a leather bag repair, highly suggest you look elsewhere.

My zipper repair was done so so sloppily I never use my once favorite bag anymore. It’s not an expensive brand (Marc Jacobs) but the way they butchered the repair it looks so low quality and like it could be counterfeit. It pulls very roughly as if something is stuck (the seams are uneven and lots of messy glue) and I have to exert so much effort pulling the tiny zipper pull for it to open.

So disappointed and the clerk was not willing to hear me out or re-do it properly.

Anthony may be a shoe repair shop, but I experienced first hand what kind of quality keys he makes. My house key duplicate was cut great - it worked the first time! I never had a key copy cut so smoothly.
Anthony (Naftali) was very friendly, and gave me advice before I left the store on how to oil the key in the event that the copy wouldn't work well, as well as cheerfully inviting me to come back if I would have any problems.
Though $15 for a Medeco key, I'd definitely come back here over any other one of the cheap places, for the quality of the product.

I came in to repair a broken metal zipper on my leather boot. The repair was not done well at all, and it is so so hard to use to zipper I have to grip it hard enough it leaves marks on my fingers.

The stitches are sloppy, I see glue marks and the zipper itself used is bad quality. So disappointed and felt like when I voiced my concerns I wasn’t getting anywhere so I just left. It sucks because I don’t feel like wearing the shoes anymore and will need to repeat the job elsewhere.

He's been fixing my shoes for years now, including the same boot I bring him every 6 months or so. He does a great job, explains what needed doing, and charges fairly. He's even fixed a vegan leather bag, my ice skates... Stellar service, I just wish it wasn't cash only! All in all great experience every time.

Great! Heel replacement on men's formal shoes, $20. PLUS complementary polishing- I noticed some scuffs were gone. Gave me the option to pick up later that day, though I chose to pick up next day.
