I always love finding a gem where it's run by someone you get to know, and this happens to be that place. Jesus was impeccable with his work, honest, and only charged for what he could do, and it turned out that it was incredible work on my boots!

He's a WYSIWYG shop where you want quality work done for any shoe or boot; Jesus is your man. There is no sugar coating if he can't get your shoes to look "brand new," he's been doing this for so long that he will provide realistic timelines.

Hours: They are closed on Sunday. From M - F, they open at 9 AM and close at 5:30 PM. Saturday, they open at 9 and close at 4 PM, so plan on going a little earlier if you go closer to closing time.

Wait: I didn't need them in a rush but got them back in less than a week. Naturally, based on his demand and workload, to the overall complexity of your request, try to plan it ahead if you need it ASAP. I always ask for a week, no matter where I go, but I'm thrilled he's moving to Cedar Park!

Parking: Parking is dedicated to the building tenants, so it's easy to find parking. Again, he is moving to Cedar Park, so I am still determining what parking will look like in 2024.

Customer Service: Jesus is honest and welcoming. Lately, I'm extra attentive when people smile, greet you, and call you by name. It makes you feel good, and kindness runs abundant. He is responsive to phone calls and puts some TLC into your shoes.

What We Loved: The fact that my shoes came out looking like new. Jesus was honest about my suede boots, which had a lot of watermarks on them, so he set the expectations because of how damaged they were. However, getting them back, they look amazing.

Opportunities/Misc: I wish Jesus had more presence on Yelp and social media, as I wish I would have found him years ago. The prices are reasonable/fair, but the quality is incredible. I was going to another shoe place, and although it was similar in quality, fees, and timing, I definitely went to Jesus.

Even if you don't live closer to Cedar Park as he moves next year, it's worth dropping it off to him. He does exceptional work, prices are fair, you can support local businesses, and he's as friendly as they come. Thanks, Jesus!

I am an old client of Jessie before he moved to Austin. I've moved to 2 cities and was never able to find a cobbler who does work even close to how good Jessie's is. His shop was the ONLY shop with 5 stars review in my old area(I lived in a big city).There has not been a single time where I sent my shoes to Jessie and was unhappy with the work. I've gone to other " 4 star/good rating" reviews cobblers and those cobblers' work is always so sloppy compared to Jessie's. I've gotten heels taps replaced by Jessie, get rubber soles for the bottom, make the boots look new, stretch out heels that were too tight, it was perfectly done every time. Needless to say, I will actually fly to Austin twice a year so I can bring my shoes for him to fix. Jessie is the BEST, you will not go anywhere else ever again after you see his work.

I have a pair of watersnake boots I bought 11 years ago and wear almost daily!

I haven't been able to take them to the boot spa since 2019 and they were looking ROUGH. I wasn't sure how much they'd be able to be renewed, the heels were nearly gone, the soles were coming off, the toes stripped of skin and beat up and the skin was dry, to what I thought was beyond repair.

You can imagine my shock and delight when I picked up my boots from Lone Star Cobbler and they looked almost as good as the day I bought them over a decade ago. I am SO happy! The skin is glowing, shiny and nourished, the heels brand new and super secured, all the dents and scratches fixed up and you can't even tell the toe skin is gone!!!

I wish I had before pictures to show you all. It's unreal.

I also brought him a pair of platform Rhinestone boots that the sole had detached from (there was a screw/wood/stripped hole situation) and he fixed those perfectly as well! I thought I was going to have to retire them but they've got new life.

The value for the price I paid is unbelievable.

I had a long chat with Jesus the owner. His story is one of amazing resilience. He had a store for 30 years in California and nearly lost his business during the pandemic, so he came to Austin to start Lone Star and rebuild his life. We're so lucky to have talent like this here.

I'll never let anyone else touch my boots or shoes!! Run to Lone Star and give your shoes new life!

I needed my Stuart Weitzman booties to be repaired on the same day (Saturday) since I needed to wear them with a certain outfit on a night out, so I searched cobblers near me then found Jesus’s shop last minute. He did a such phenomenal job repairing the heels and damaged suede of the booties in less than 2 hours with a very fair price. Such a life saver! So glad I found his place, and I’ll bring all my designer shoes here for repair. He’s super friendly and accommodating, with amazing craftsmanship. Definitely recommend his shop, he does a faster and better job than the chain Austin shoe hospital!
