Overall, I would not recommend or buy another home from Chesmar. All because they are about their bottomline first more than doing the right thing. So here is what happened…A couple months before closing the bathtub went in, and my beautiful wife tested it out. Her knees were in her chest! The tub was so short and uncomfortable there had to be a mistake. They looked over the contract, and basically all it said was “Bathtub”. Okay shame on us for not double checking the dimensions after paying so much for a home and trusting them to “Setting a Higher Standard”. Their #1 value on chessman.com is “Do the right thing”. Nope! They were like “it does look small but that’s what you get.” I was completely shocked! Not sure how they can be proud to put out a product like that. That’s what I saw missing in Chesmar. When it came down to it, they didn’t care enough to “Take Ownership”. Not someone I want to be in business with…..but we ripped out the tub the next weekend after we closed! It took a while for me to figure out how to get the new tub in and all the little items fixed. We got our tub from Ferguson in less than a week! Highly recommend Ferguson by the way…but the thing that really confused me. It would have cost them half of what I payed, they had all the skills, and I would have payed for them to redo it. Why not fix it? I ended up selling the tub on Facebook. The person that bought it put it in their TINY HOME. True story.
Otherwise things went pretty good with the build. We had good quality with build just the finishes fell short. Oh! They also would NOT leave off the frames around the master mirrors. Literally was less work for them and was just a hard no. They were attached with a strong adhesive so we had to get them completely replaced. Such a waste of material.

Since the only reviews they keep are good ones let me mix it up a bit. This won’t be up long. Chesmar continually deletes reviews by the homeowners they don’t like. Here is our pond, or shall I say puddle. The utter incompetence by our builder (who still controls our HOA) to legally run our water feature has resulted in a cesspool of stagnant water and multiple dead fish everyday. This has been an ongoing issue for over a year. They refuse to allow our HOA to have an in person meeting to discuss this issue and come to a solution. We have been fed lie after lie. We have tried moving but the eyesore sitting in my backyard was a massive deterrent. So if you move here, plan to stay and enjoy the putrid fish soup that greats you everyday as you return home. Should this post be delete like the last I will continue to update you all via new reviews.

After a long day of visiting different model homes, Chesmar at Wasser Ranch was last and I guess the saying "save the best for last" is true. Friendly, professional and tons of information flowed from Amanda- Home consultant. Hands down she made me feel comfortable which if you are making a big purchase like a home is critical!
After carefully explaining everything about the build process, showing me several color schemes I was excited and armed with knowledge. The next day, I went under contract!! Couldn't be happier about my decision!!

It's been a total team.. wonderful home buying experience. Brian Dromgoole, sales consultant, Wasser Ranch, did an extraordinary job in helping us.. keeping us informed. Brian's expertise in the showroom product line was truly invaluable to us especially seeing that we live in Maryland. He was always available to us whether he was working or not. Chessmar is very fortunate to have him on their team.

Brady Trainer, CLM Mortgage was also a key and very important player on a great team. He also was very knowledgeable as well as professional in helping us piece together a loan product for us to finance dream home. If we had to start all over again these two individuals would definitely be our top choice in our home buying experience.

Great place and neighborhood removed from the hustle and bustle of the city but still close to shopping. Growing area with lots of new builds and development.
