Rented the premium board, boots and binding for two pax.
Made my reservations online and even though it seemed chaotic within the store, the entire process was a efficient one.

Highly recommend and I will definitely look for CS in future.

It was a very chaotic rental process where there was no queuing system so people can cut in lines. It was very stressful. They even gave me a smelly pair of boots and when I asked for a new pair that doesn’t smell, the German lady employee just said, “Well what do you expect? They’re rentals.” Well, okay then. Overall, the service and system needs an improvement but we had no issues with the snowboards we rented. However, due to the poor service, we will rent elsewhere next time.

Had a great experience renting gear with central snow sports. As the name suggests the location is great, in close proximity to the main gondola at Happo, making the journey a breeze. The customer service is great as the staff made us feel welcome and at ease, listening to our needs and concerns and decking us out with all the right equipment. Blake’s knowledge and attitude was second to none and is the reason we will be returning to central snowsports next time we’re in Hakuba.

We realised my son’s boots were not wide enough for his foot just before the bus left for the mountain, we headed to the Hakuba store and Kennedy served us - she made my son feel comfortable giving him lots of options for his wide foot. The manager dropped in to support as well.

Over all it was a great experience for him.

Then to top it off, I asked what the best way to get to the mountain was and they had a spare seat on the van and dropped us on the mountain.

Picked up our gear relatively quickly considering how busy it was. They provided a shuttle to their store from the station, and then to our accommodation with the gear. They offered to pick up our gear at the end of the rental too.

We did have some minor issues: There was some confusion with our pickup as we were never told which store our gear was to be picked up from (there are 3 locations), or asked our preference. I have a wide foot and told them so, but was measured as normal and given shoes too small which I had to come back and swap. Both of these issues were resolved quickly without much fuss, so I was still happy with the service.

Horrible experience. If you want to enjoy your trip, do not rent from them.

Rented equipment for days and the binding was loose and they don’t care about that at all.

We rented 4 sets of gear from them and 3 sets were either not fitted properly or just broken. When we asked for help, we were told to return to their shop disregarding the fact that we were already at the top of the mountain. Rather than apologising, they lay the blame on us for not checking the equipment the day we rented and told us to return to the shop disregarding the fact that we were on the mountain and it would have taken more than 30mins to go down the mountain with loose gear and drive all the way to their shop.

I didn’t pay to do quality checking for them or to fix the equipment on the mountain.
