Returning to Bathgate has been a delight, thanks to the vibrant community spirit fostered by Lucy, the dedicated founder and owner of the market. Her genuine care and passion shine through, creating a welcoming space for people to come together. Since its reopening in June 2023, the market has thrived, bringing diverse businesses, Lucy has hired from me numerous of times and my mother and I at Sompoton Snack Shack have also traded and part of and into the fold. We did a carboot, was very dissapointed , should expand the market side but not the place to sell your bits and bobs especially paying £15 for a car pitch, a porta loo sat on the back of a lorry/van...not really fit for public use, there are bigger/better carboots without the market, people were very friendly though, but wouldnt recommend for carbooters.

There are not too many stalls but plenty of variety from locals. Good options for pet supplies. There were a couple of neat product stalls. Lots of bric-a-brac. Should be better in summer ☀️

Quite a lot of stalls. Selling a variety of new and 2nd hand items. Lovely to see the cats protection stall there.

Yes it’s great for the town although would have been much better in the precinct where the shops could have benefited from the increase in visitors - although I’ve been along a few times and I am yet to see the reported 4,000 visitors!! Hope it improves now that it’s been given the chance to continue

Went with the kids they loved it , they loved the scavenger hunt, everyone is so lovely.
The youngest won a bike !
Will definitely be back! Good selection for all the family

Although just starting up was hugely dissapointed. Took MIL as she wanted doughnuts. Electricity problem when we arrived at food cart no fresh doughnuts available. Signage for carpark poor. Its not till you get to market it tells you no parking

I was initially contacted by one of our members from West Lothian Litter Pickers that a young lady, Lucy Lawson was trying to bring back a market to Bathgate, so I met her on the proposed site at the back of Argos and my initial thoughts was that she was mad, because the site was a mess with overgrown foliage and awash with litter and broken glass, but we all got stuck in and helped Lucy realise her dream and she's done an absolutely crackin job of it. The market has really drawn the crowds in and there's so much to choose from, including food stalls and Car Boot sales. It's really given the town a boost and other businesses are benefiting too, so go pay the market a visit. It's well worth it, but be aware there's no parking on site and don't park in the B&M Carpark because you'll get a ticket if you overstay your welcome ?
