I've driven past this place a hundred times and never stopped in. I was pleasantly surprised when I finally decided to walk inside. I had no idea they had such a great selection of pew pew items. I ended up buying a 43X MOS there. Their price on ammo is very competitive with online sellers. You have to pay sales tax but not the shipping It's actually a bit cheaper ? every employee I have dealt with so far is extremely polite and professional.

My family and I went here to look at men’s boots. All of the boots were mixed in together you couldn’t tell what was want. It was extremely unorganized, we ended up not finding what we went there for. Then proceeded to buy a pair of men’s jeans that read $24.99 on the rack we got them off of. When they rung up as $34.99 we told the cashier that the sign read something different so we did not want them and she acted like she could care less instead of trying to find the correct price.Not great customer service.

Just had a great in store experience getting work boots. Josiah spent time helping me find the right fit and insoles from start to finish. He didn’t rush me, and we tried several brands and sizes.

Asked to join the my Academy program and was walked through what turned out to be a credit card application. I should’ve known better when it asked for my income and the last four of my social. Wasn’t sure what that was for so I explicitly asked if it was a hard inquiry on my credit to which the cashier said I don’t know. Read the terms and conditions read everything on the screen to discover there was no expressly written statement that it was a hard inquiry on my credit.

When I got to the vehicle, I received two emails that it was a hard inquiry. Per fair credit reporting act regulations, it is illegal to run a hard inquiry without disclaiming it to their customer and written consent. I will be filing a complaint with the consumer finance protection bureau.

Manager use the excuse “Well sir we have teenagers as cashiers most of the time.”

1. Teenagers shouldn’t be allowed to sign people up for a credit card.

2. The cashier was a middle-aged woman who obviously wasn’t trained well enough.

I understand that you think nothing can be done on your end to help me out, Dustin. Nonetheless, talking down to me and acting like I was a dumbass who couldn’t realize I was filling out a credit card application doesn’t help the fact that your associate didn’t do what I asked for.

Reading through the other reviews I feel better now that it wasn't just my wife and I that felt as though we would never return after today. Those reviews listed the same names of employees that we also experienced.

I'm not big on calling out specific people so I'll just say that if you are looking to purchase a firearm, I highly recommend you avoid this location at all cost.

Every where we've been prior has been amazing and very welcoming, we expirienced the opposite here. I wasn't shocked till we spoke with the manager voicing our concerns, but now I understand why we received the level of service we did at the point of sale underneath him.

Hoping at least one of my concerns may be addressed that we went over today, but I'm not holding my breath. We left and purchased from a smaller store near us that was very happy to get our business and was much more professional.

I will say the lady at the entrance was super nice. It's a shame she's not one of the managers because I feel like it would've been handled much differently with her. Anyway, just my opinion. If you don't have to interact with anyone it's a good place to shop, but we personally won't spend our money here any longer after today.

Not sure what is happening at this location, I’ve always enjoyed shopping here. But they don’t have enough cashiers. I waited in line with 6 other people while another person was waiting at customer service. Three people on the floor said they had called other cashiers & would be up soon, but no one came. A brinks man came twice trying to find a manager while I was waiting in line. I finally got up to pay after 20 minutes and then the cashier couldn’t ring me up because she had too much cash in her drawer. I was on my lunch hour & had to walk out without paying. A lost sale because there’s no way to pay for merchandise. A fully stocked store with no way to buy anything. It’s very frustrating

I bought a firearm online. I went to pick it up, and there were several people ahead of me. When it was my turn, the guy behind the counter told me a manager had to check in the online orders, and I had to wait longer. The manager could have at least checked me in so someone else could help me when it was my turn. Maybe I was being cranky, but I feel like they were very inefficient and treated people like cattle instead of customers. I'll pay the $50 extra dollars to get this firearm from my local 'ma and pop' store that the store director showed such distain for while he was acting like they were doing me a favor. I tried to call back to cancel my order, and no one answered the phone. I tried 5 times, and the line kept disconnecting after several rings. No more Academy Sports for me.

The guys at Firearms were very helpful. I've been looking for a specific pistol and they managed to find it for me. Great customer service very knowledgeable.
