We came for our one year wedding anniversary and this was one of favorite dining experiences we’ve had. Chef Sky and staff were so friendly and accommodating. The sushi was fantastic, fantastic technique showcasing even better ingredients. Everything tasted fresh and the toro was divine. Thank you again!

Sounding like a broken record- as is every other review.
This is the best omasake in Boston. Traditional and extremely fresh. No added fancy sauces. Very subtle flavors are added that bring out the fish's natural flavors. For once every dish isn't scotched to hell. Only a few fish see a touch, and just enough to bring out the fish's fat.

The staff are incredible. A tiny piece of garnish fell off my plate and a server Immediately saw it and grabbed it off the counter.
The sushi chefs are very personable and talk to you throughout the meal. It's kind of like you're just hanging out, but still manages to remain high end.

I highly recommend anyone to come here if you like sushi. You will get addicted and come here again again and again. 5/5

First time going to an omakaze in Boston. Chef Sky is very friendly and warmly welcomes all of the guests to his world of sushi.

The place was well decorated. It is located at the heart of Boston, but the room feels like we are put and about in a very peaceful place.

All of the dishes were fresh. Most of them look really simple, but hide a lot of different tastes among them. The chef picks a very interesting and playful combination of fish and herbs.

Every menu shows details and effort that was put into. The balance between flavorful fish and fresh greens were perfect. The chef was very friendly and full of energy, which would make your night entertaining and flowing in a breeze.

The waitresses also did very well on servicing the guests, including informing information and cleaning plates.

Chef Sky is a master of his craft. All of the courses were made with simplicity but it was prepared perfectly.

The environment and vibe is not too serious, which many omakase spots are in some areas. The staff was very respectful but did an amazing job taking care of the customers and making them feel like they’re just visiting a good friend’s home.

Personally, this is the best omakase spot in Boston. An amazing dining experience and definitely worth the price.

Chef Sky is highly skilled and talented with impeccable technique and always with a spirit of gratitude. Watching him intricately scored the fish that were minimally embellished and perfectly mold the nigiri was one of the highlights of this delightful Omakase experience. The whole ambiance including the Hinoki counter, the knives on display and even the toilet seat makes you feel closer to Japan.

Stepping into Wa Shin, helmed by the illustrious Chef Sky, was like entering an oasis of tranquility from the loud, hot city street. The zen-like atmosphere, accompanied by soothing instrumental Japanese music, immediately set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience.

The restaurant’s minimalist Japanese-inspired decor is a testament to elegance and simplicity, featuring Hanoki wood interiors, meticulous bonsai trees, and a display of exquisite Japanese knives. These elements, combined with top-tier plates and glassware, elevated our dining experience.

Seated at the intimate 10-person counter, we were treated to a front-row seat of culinary mastery. The attentive and professional wait staff ensured our every need was met while we watched Chef Sky and his team craft each dish with precision and artistry.

Our omakase experience was nothing short of spectacular. Each course showcased the highest quality ingredients and fish, allowing the natural flavors to shine through. The dishes were thoughtfully complemented by subtle ingredients; a purist's delight in sushi. We selected a fantastic bottle of South African Chardonnay, which paired perfectly with the courses.

Wa Shin is a haven for those who not only appreciate the art of omakase but also revel in the theater of watching master chefs at work. Chef Sky's dedication to his craft and his ability to create a multisensory dining experience make Wa Shin a must-visit destination.
I highly recommend Wa Shin to anyone seeking a sublime culinary journey that engages all the senses.
